Hi, My name is Mike. I signed up yesterday and just lurked around for a bit. I liked what I saw so I think ill hang around.

I lost a good amount of hearing beginning in my early childhood and began to wear BTE hearing aids around the age of five. My hearing eventually stabilized and I range between moderate and severe hearing loss in both ears. My hearing is much worse in the higher frequencies.

I'm now 23 and I'm on my third set of aids (an ITE set). I Live in Kalamazoo MI and attend Western Michigan University where I have just started to learn ASL. Which has been a great experience so far.

I'm excited to chat with everyone here and I hope to be a good contributing member of this community.

Kalamazoo is about 2 hours away from me.
