Hello everybody,

my name is Sofia, I am living in Cologne Germany and I just joined today. =)

I hope to learn quite a bit from you all here :wave:

I am studying deaf pedagogy here in cologne - oh by the way, I am hearing.
And so I am always open to learn new things about this completely different cultural world =)

I used to live in Karlsruhe...my son was born in heidelburg and my daughter in Wurzburg...loved germany :cheers:

I live in Bavaria, Southern of Germany... It´s long way from Cologne (Köln).

Quite a few of you, who are inteested in military stuff, might even roughly know, where I live exactly.

Just for the ones who are interested:

The city is called Weiden. It is in the northeast of Germany about 100km away from Nürnberg.
Ans about 15 Minutes by car from the U.S. army post in Vielseck.

I live only 45 km away from Nürnberg.
I also work for U.S. Army, too. I work there for over 19 years now.

Which exactly area of U.S. army you work for?

I actually do not work for the army. I just tried to let people know, where I am originally coming from.

I have a friend whos husband was in the army in Vielseck, but they returen to the States.
