My name is Monica and I'm very new to learning ASL and learning about deaf culture. I'm hearing, but I've always had an interest in ASL because, frankly, I'm terrible at learning any other languages. I tried learning Spanish once and it was terrible, I forgot everything. Recently I've been trying to connect with some deaf folks in my area to try and learn on a more personal basis. I don't really know anyone who is deaf except my professor, so I'd like to meet new people. I'm attending the auction for St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo next week, but I thought I might be able to get a jump start on this website.
