Hi there! I finally found the courage to join 
after lurking for a while...
I was quite embarassed to join an "all deaf" forum since I'm hearing... But anyway. Here I am.
I'm italian (so please forgive my poor english) and I'm the proud mother of two children: a 5 yo girl, hearing, and a 2 yo profooouuund deaf boy. We choose not to give him CI for now, and we're always looking for informations on how to help him growing up happy and confident. He's wearing his HA and seem to be happy with them, but it's really hard to know what he hears... He apparently doesn't want to show us, but that's ok since we started using sign language, a choice which is quite uncommon in Italy, cradle of oralism.
I already found many informations here, especially about bi-bi education, and this is of much help for us. I'll feel free to ask you for advice if needed
