Hi there, my name is Meghan and I am a Gally HUGS (hearing undergraduate student) alumni '03. Now I live out in the Amazon in Peru training and running Shamanic Spiritual Healing programs (for Deaf and hearing!) We are having a Deaf Retreat in November of 2008 if you are interested.

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. I know what you are saying, funny thing is I have never been in the sweat lodge all my life to cleanse my soul from the evil spirit because I am Deaf. I can not hear what the Shaman or Medicine Person say in the dark wigwam. I wanted to join in the Sweat Lodge ceremony but something prevented me from going in for a reason. Your spiritual healing might be different than in Canada and United States. I have studied a little bit of Peru and the mountains is suppose to be beautiful. I also love the native people there. I hope you enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. Have fun with us. See you around. :wave:
