I am currently a high school senior looking into a future of interpreting. I first started signing since about december, 2008 and i fell in love with it. I grew up with speech difficulties and i couldn't learn another spoken language worth my life and it took me about a week to learn just a couple words (I tried spanish and after failing the class twice i decided to move on), but when i tried signing i was picking up at least 5 words a day just off the internet, and if someone else helps me i can easily pick up 20 words in just a 2 hour session. After this happened i found out i could get a degree and become a much needed interpreter, and for once i felt as though i was on the right track.

So if anyone has any information that would help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

welcome

I grew up with speech and language difficulties also and have LD. I spoke late as a young child.

Sounds great - good luck!
