Only when it’s dark,
Does my body come alive,
Free from those that sleep,
No longer do I hide,
Free to walk the earth,
From those who always need,
Free to be myself,
I no longer have to lead,
My thoughts are clear and calm,
During this time of night,
My body is at peace,
For this moment the world is right,
Soon I will have to wake,
From this dream I’m always in,
No longer will I be free,
Till night comes once again.
