I am replacing my transmission oil on my 2004 ford f 150 v-8, does anyone know how many quarts of trans. oil need to fill up the pan.

Approx 5 quarts of Mercon V. The dry trans is 13.9 quarts. If the black composed pan gasket , you can reuse it. Make sure the fluid level is proper when the trans reach normal engine temperature. Don't overfill. HTH
