ESET NOD32 - AntiVirus

My current provider is proposing a special offer on the antivirus program ESET NOD32.

Since I need a new one for my new LT I'm wondering if anybody has experience with the above mentionned? Currently I'm using McAfee and have never had any troubles with it *shrug*

Any input is more than welcome :D Thx! JL

ESET NOD32's good, but I'd recommend Avast Free, which can be gotten from here: http://avast.com

I'm definitely female :D (yes you can judge by my username and avatar :cool2: )

I don't know much about antivirus programs so I was just wondering...

Ah, so I guessed correctly! haha. Well at least one thing went well. >_>
 
I am currently using Avast! free version, but I would say Nod32, takes less memory than any other AV program on the market, quicker response time, excellent virus detection and updates, and has a smaller footprint. This is a much better AV program than McAfee, or Norton because it's written much better. You have a good provider-I wish mine would offer this, if I had to buy an AV program-it would be Nod32 hands down.

I second this .. Avast Free is the way to go unless you using a NetBook

For Netbook I use Microsoft Security Essentials

Thanks to everybody who has put in their two cents in the matter... I personally don't trust free stuff and since my provider offers NOD 32 at 22 Dollars I'll more likely go with this. After some research on the net (and on several other message boards) I got good reviews when it comes to NOD 32 :D but will keep MS Essentials in the back of my head for future reference ;)
