Can anyone lend a hand translating this into ASL sentence structure?

"Our study group has met twice so far."

Using OSV, is it Twice so far our study group meet?
 
meet twice is a verb...

so "study group met twice done" is more accurate. :)

the "study group met" can be consolidated into one sign.
 
Twice study group met?

My textbook says time goes first, then topic then comment.

time: twice
topic: study group
comment: met

I think?
 
"twice" is not a time, though - it's a repetition, isn't it? It would be describing an event, so the event would need to come first as the object.

(I don't know ASL, though...)
 
Although 'time' is often indicated first (ie: yesterday, today, tomorrow), for this particular sentence the event is what I think is most important so I would sign that first, followed by the news about it. "study group-meet finish twice". Bear in mind that ASL and sentence structure preferences can vary from region to region (and I am certainly not qualified to teach) so I can only share how I would see or sign something based on my own experience within the local deaf community.

I don't consider "twice" to be a repetition like daily/weekly/monthly. That is why I would simply use the sign for "twice".
 
Since PFH is a deaf ASL teacher, why do students keep saying different things when he already told you the order?
 
I didn't know PFH was an ASL teacher (I don't think the students did either) but that is good to know, thanks Bottesini. :)
