Dog Owner's Alert !!!!!

That's horrible.

It's been going around in Michigan too. I have a Golden Retriever myself. I buy Pedrigee and sometimes America's Choice dog food. I don't buy any "no-name brands" or stuff like that. Even though Pedrigee and America's Choice is not recalled, this is making me cautious.

This news seems to be quite old. I don't ever feed my hearing dog that product, but this one instead http://www.nutroproducts.com . In fact, I swear by it. As for the other brands that are out there, I recognize some of the names, but most I don't recommend. Eukanuba and Pedigree are notorious, as well as Science Diet, for sponsoring dog shows. Purina is pure crap, equivalent to humans eating Burger King or McDonald's for every meal...no nutritional value, kinda like :spam: .

I only use Pedigree dry dog food for all three of my Boston Terriers I had -- they all like Pedigree....When Oreo first tried Pedigree Puppy food, she loves it. :) When she's grown up, she will get Pedigree adult dog food just like her predecessors. :)
Science Diet is another good one. :)
I have never fed them any of the products in the link that Heath had posted.

That was not suprising! I don't feed a dog food that has those ingredients: BHT/BHA, exthoxyquin, artifical dyes, soybean meal, wheat, corn gutens, corn meal, whole corn, ground corn, aflatoxin, by-product meats, and chemical preservatives. I always stay away from Pedigree, Iams, Nutro, and all big commerical pet food.

More information if you want to know
here it goes

I am pleased that you know about this one. Not so many people know that!

Cane,

If I'm not mistaken, Eukanuba owns Iams. Any of the people who don't watch the dog shows and not see the advertisements? :ugh: You are kidding, right? I am surprised.

It's like those imitation products from stores. I usually eat and drink brand names like Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Little Debbie cakes, Captain Crunch, etc...

NOT...

President's Choice Cola, Dr. Thunder, Remarkable cakes, Kommander Krunch, etc...

If you're going to feed your dog, give it good brand name foods... not imitation food.

Gonna look into natural dog food and see if my dog likes it. I want my dog strong healthy and chemical free as much as possible. The more natural the better.

Peki,

Yes, you are right Eukanuba owns Iams and it donates a lot of money to the dog shows like Westiminster, Crufts, and others. Many dog show breeders know not to feed their dogs like Pedigree, Eukanuba, and others. Some feed their dogs raw with supplements and mix with natural dog food.

Heath,
If you want a natural dog food, I know many good ones. I usually feed my dogs Natural Balance from Petco.

Hi Cane Corso, I checked the website link that Peki provided http://www.nutroproducts.com and had no idea they sell the natural dog food bag in my hometown. I wish they had Petco in my home town. I live 200-300 miles away from civilization. I live deep in the woods of Pennsylvania and will be nice to move to Pittsburgh where there is alots of Deaf people and I am not so alone in my hometown ( very small and no Deaf for 200-300 miles around ) That is another reason I can thank AllDeaf readers now my dog is going to want to tell you thank you for healthy food. I feed my dog the yellow bag from Iams. You said you know many natural dog food products can you list what you do know and does work for the dog please? Thank you and my dog types with paws, Thank you :)
