Does professionals have the right to tell parents what to do and what not to do?

And that is where the trouble comes in.

The parents need to realize that they are seeing a specialist in one area. And it is unfortuante that these so called "audiologists/CI doctors" are preying on the fears of the parents in terms of social-education well being of the child.

The parents need to wake up and say, " you are just the doctor in this specific area and nothing more."

But it is unfortunate that they been running amok.

**nodding agreement**

That is very true and very scary so I agree with Jillo too. **nodding agreement** It seems that hearing parents need help with making the right decisions for their deaf child which might be their first time. They look up to the audiologists and CI doctors for help and they give them all the wrong way by threaten them by saying no CI unless you get the only oral environment for education. I feel like telling them to go back to medical school and not try to force parents who have children who have to go through hell in the only oral environment education. Parents need to know that professional doctors and audiologists are not gods. They are as much human as we are. :ugh:
