Does deafness affect your other senses?

I do think vision and tactile senses are are more pronounced when hearing is impaired. I have,however,found that visual acuity does decreases with age. I swear I can't "hear" a thing without my glasses.

My sense of smell is better with my hearing loss. My vision is getting worse, and so my sense of smell is getting even stronger.

Besides vision & sense of smell heightened, recently w/ new hearing aids I feel in better balance when on my feet than I did. Since I am hearing more, it's made a difference I think.

lol. I mean that I smell things more strongly.. it's annoying when I'm next to stinky people

i got sensitive nose i smell things from afar bit of a curse
