does anybody know how i can find out Deaf events in my area?

hi!im learning ASL and im a former part time ASL interpreter in tulare county in California.i really LOVE deaf culture does anybody know how i can find out about deaf events in my area?

welcome! but, if you're former ASL terp, why don't you know where to find Deaf events? or did you just move there?

I recently decided to jump into the community and I used google, found out that my city has a general message board and networked from there. Then all it is now is word of mouth, that message board and the radio(my fiancé listens) worked for me and this was over a month period really. I found good people to communicate with.
