For those who do not know Deanne Braye, she is a deaf actress that played
Sue Thomas on the program Sue Thomas FBEye who also had a hearing dog. I don't know if a hearing dog will be used in Heroes or not, there is no mentioning but it appears that they are going to support deaf actors this season on Heroes.

The below comes fom the California State University, Northridge Alumni news

Exciting news about Deanne Braye appearing on the upcoming shows of Heroes on NBC this Fall!

Deanne Bray, one of our well known alums, will be appearing on NBCs most popular TV show, Heroes, this fall.

Season 3 of Heroes will be start airing on September 21st, and Deanne will be
playing in multiple episodes as Emma. Deannes character will start appearing in episode 4 (scheduled to air on October 4th), and she will
also be in episodes 5 (Oct 12th) and 6 (Oct 19th). She will be in other
episodes as well, but the air dates are unknown at this time.

Deanne's character will have some signing scenes, and it will be subtitled. In
other scenes, her character will speak. Hopefully, as her character

develops in the show, there will be more signing scenes and other Deaf
performers on the show. Deanne did managed to get Rose Crisman, a
7 years old Deaf girl, on the show as one of the children patients in the
background. Rose can be seen in episode 6!

Be sure to show your support for Deanne by watching Heroes and by spreading the news to your family and friends!

Hmmm, her character will speak. A Jericho redux at the backlash for speaking?

Hello folks,

Yeah. I was shocked to see deaf actress in my favorite TV show - Heroes! She acts like ultrasound system to see sound waves as lights. Yes, I had seen all epsiodes since Heroes' pilot epsiode. That is very good news since we had seen her through F.B. Eye epsiodes.

Thanks,

Thought on Heroes: Ink

It seem that she only can see the sound cause from the object that make noise.

If she learn something advance that could able see people's voicebox?

I saw that show, and the thought of the colors being used for the voice box interpretation

is and interesting one.

Finally, I see what she can do with her ability, it can be deadly weapon! oh my my! Create the incredible music and blew up the wall!

I saw that too. Hopefully, she will learn to focus her ability fast.
