hi all,
I am the "leader" of planning Deaf Awareness Day (an event that the ASL 3 class at my university plans every year). Normally we have a Deaf guest speaker or comedian come. We have had Joan Hanna (I think she teaches at ASD..she's a friend of my professor) and Keith Wann a number of times, and I want to try to bring in someone new. The entire Deaf community in CT (and any state if people are willing to drive!) are invited, as well as students, so I want to try to get someone people know.
so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of people I could invite? I was thinking about trying to get Marlee Matlin, but we don't have a huge budget so I'm not going to try
