I have been wondering. A person who is hoh/deaf and their family is hearing and they don't get involved in deaf community to learn deaf culture. Also, they don't sign at all. Is it possible that you can make them or can't? It their own decision to learn it?
 
Well first I guess they'd have to be introduced to the possibility and opportunity to learn sign language before they could make a decision i guess?

You can't make a person do anything. Like they say, you can bring a horse to water but you can't make them drink.
 
Please don't put a round peg in square hole. If they don't want to be involved in Deaf Culture, they don't have to be.
 
Others words they would do by themselves if they wanted to learn without being told or being ask?
