Knowledge of the Deaf Leads to Understanding!
In order to foster an understanding between the Deaf and hearing communities, Deaf Understanding has published a new book by deaf author Blair LaCrosse and interpreter Michelle LaCrosse entitled Silent Ears, Silent Heart--A deaf man's journey through two worlds.
With the purpose of education in mind, the authors are preparing a workbook to be used in conjunction with the book, Silent Ears, Silent Heart. This workbook is being designed in a way to not only pull out specific points from the book dealing with deafness, Deaf culture, and American Sign Language, but the questions are intended to stimulate classroom discussion. This new workbook will be a complement to any Deaf studies course or sign language class.

Where? Fort Washington Expo Center
1100 Virginia Drive, Fort Washington, Pennsylvania
When? Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8
9 AM to 5 PM.
The authors will be on hand to answer questions and autograph books.
