Collecting Valuable/Non-valuable Items...

It would be interesting to know what most of you do collect whether it's valuable or not....

I like collecting old nickels and pennies...some dating back to the early 1900's and a handful circulating back in the 1800's...I also like to collect Nascar items, baseball cards...eventually I would like to start collecting wolves and eagles....

So, share the things you cherish collecting here with all of us ADers.... ;)
 
I collect:

comic books (American and Japanese), DVDs, video tapes, coins, video games, and EGM magazines.

I lost:

Nintendo Power magazines, Gamepro magazines, other video game magazines, some comic books

I collect only this specific pattern of Japanese China made by Noritake in 1918. I find it difficult to find, but I keep looking and finding it here and there. Here are examples of this pattern I collect:

Mugs, I do have a pitcher that goes with it.

Unfortunately, all these are back in East (NJ). I also collect postcards, either from my friends who mailed them to me, or from my travels, I would buy like 20 or postcards. I also have a collection of coins and banknotes, but have not been very active in this hobby lately. Thinking about selling my banknotes soon.

One more thing, I also am active in research of my family tree, so I like to collect information, articles, photos and so on on my family.

Boy, I wish I could find the photos...but I used to collect license plates from other states. :) I still have them somewhere in the shed! I had almost all of them, except for Louisiana and California...or something like that. I was missing three at the most. I had 'em all hanging on the hallway walls of our old apartment...it was almost like a bachelor pad. LOL.

I used to collect Marvel cards and comic books back when I was a teen. Ever since I've collected some coins, newspapers/magazines, and DVDs but that's about it. Not much of a collector here, I guess. Heh.
 
I collect:

Old Baseball Cards we got some from My Son's dad's Mother who passed away from Cancer she gave my Son about 3 boxes of Old Baseball cards...

Candles Like Cinnamon Apples and other Spices

Dying Flowers I would hang them Upside down and put them on the wall looking like Crafts.

Sands from Florida Beach and South Carolina Beach.

Shells from Florida Beach and South Carolina Beach

  • wolves/eagle figurines and photos and etc -- a friend did a cross stitch of a wolf with dream catcher that i left back east -- its absolutely BOOTIFUL!
  • HRC mini pilsner from various cities
  • photos of sunsets across the nation and make collages (if time permits and if i have wall space LOL)
  • DVDs -- im trying to collect the movies based on King's novels
  • scented candles (this one i KNOW MizzDeaf enjoys doing too LOL)

also a note from MizzDeaf -- she forgot to add that she also collects baseball trading cards :D

Opps...I forgot about Ty Beanie Babies and Cleveland Indians items...I used to be a Cleveland Indian Fan until they lost the world series ..NOW, They stink!...

Come on Cleveland Indians!!..Let's kick some butts! :mrgreen:
 
WoW , Nice Kuifje75 ....I collect China Glasses (They're Red )....but, I can't find them on web sites but one day, I will take pictures and post it in here....I am hoping to collect more....Still keeping my eyes out for them!
 
I collect poreclin dolls even though i have very few, holocaust books and movies, candles, and pictures of anime (whatever i think is pretty:) ), and I also collect Orlando Bloom and Mary-Kate and Ashley posters, movies, etc.. :D

Yeah, I know!! Sad. We lost best baseball players to other teams. Oh, well.
 
I used to collect indian coins, comic books, beads, & movies dvd but lost track of time. I sold all of them thru half.com or e bay to move here from PA. I m not much of collector now and less clatter at our home. hah.
 
okayy call me :crazy: but oddball, java and fly free knows I collect lipsticks :rofl: and hmm I collect cat stuff animals and hm cat purses, cat clothes, hm *thinkin* what else.. I collect purple stuff but oh yess my grandpa gave me the old rocket with old 10 cents from 1940's or before I think :roll: heh I'm nuts :smoking:
