Changing professions?

Ok, I have a bit of a wierd question.
Why do a lot of deaf teachers change their professions? Like why do they just stop teaching the deaf? Is there a lack of funding? Is it a thankless job?

If anyone has any idea, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to 21 century! Back in early 20th century it is easy for one to find a job, stay there til retirement. Nowaday, on average workers have at least 5 different jobs before their retirement reaches. It is VERY common nowaday to change career. I have at least 8 different jobs already, almost every job I had is completely different than others. Statistics shows at least 80% of college graduates had their job completely different than what they had majored in college! We live in highly violated employment environment so expect alot changes ahead. In fact I hate changes, but from my experience changes always brings more positives!
