Hello!
My name's Jonathan and I'm hearing.
My first exposure to ASL that I remember is being in a super market with my mom and see a boy and his mother signing to each and and I ask my mom what they were doing and she said, "They're talking." I left it at that.
Then I became a coach for Special Olympics and the head coach noticed I was in French, Polish, and Spanish and went, "You like languages?" and I said yes and she signed me for for ASL courses so I could work with deaf, hard of hearing and non-verbal athletes.
So yeah, I'm addicted to language and culture, I love it all.
Besides that, I'm 16, a junior in high school and I love to read and write.
My current job is phone order entry and customer service and I do stand up comedy.
Uh, yeah I'm totally special and that's my life in a nutshell.
