From the land of Korea, we have this retro/brick looking Portable Computer dubbed HDPC that has ugly looking buttons. It’s sort of a PDA cum phone from MIU that boots dual OS (Windows XP/Windows CE 5.0 or Linux Qplus) which will satisfy Windows haters. It comes with a smalllish QWERTY keyboard, 4-inch display with 800×480 resolution, lasts up to 90 hours on low power mode and wireless internet functions. Don’t expect it to launch outside Korea anytime soon in July 2008.

cell plus computer in one is already exist long time ago.

Why would a deaf community need a cell phone-liked device? QWERTY device is fine for them.

Seen that before back in 1998. Even its not a cellphone, It was a PDA running on Windows 95 full version. It was attached to external hdd, have mini stick mouse on right middle side of screen to move pointer.. I asked sales person how much? He said $1,200 for it. Yike!

No thanks!

There are nicer and slim mobile computer/ cellphone out there. Check the Mobile PDA and Computer magazine that have info on up to date mobile technology. I prefer one that is slim and runs on plenty of flash memory and can run on Linux and even can run VMware to run Windoz rofl. This may happen soon.
