Camaro and Challenger is back from the dead!

I won't be surprised if someone gave the new charger a paint job... the General Lee! ;)

If I had that car, I probably would do the same thing. ;)

actually it was "Camaro RS" created during 70's I have driven few of them but I love the '78 model! I was a chauffeur for a car dealership owner who got his DL suspended for 5 yrs due to DUI ( LOL ) but it was fun going place with him. I have driven Corvette several of them from auto auctions for test drive, they are beast! but I prefer Camaro if I am in 20's but I am now 40's I am thinking of Magnum ( http://www.dodge.com/magnum/ ) LOL or a Mini ( http://www.miniusa.com/ ) although I want Ford F-150 FX4 (4 doors model http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/ )

So tell me which looks better, the coupe or the convertible Camaro? Me? Id rather have the coupe :) I must have a solid steel roof over my head when Im driving plus its more stiffer body than the convertible.

Makes me wonder about the 2K9 Challenger...will DCX make a convertible out of the Challenger so not to get left out of the Pony car convertible wars with the Camaro and Mustang?

My wife and i like two doors type of Challenger and other pony cars but one of muscle car "Charger" has four doors which it is overkill the style already.... It should have 2 doors coupe sport car for this charger... STUPID Dodge/Chrysler for making big mistake to get that 4 doors instead of using two doors like the ones from 70's styles....

i like Chargers old designs but presntly day chargers are allrite i did test drive one at Lowes Speedway in NC last year with my bro and it is pretty fast but aint my type- i go for old gas guzzlin cars
 
Brings back memories of my high school years when the cool guys drove the Camaros. Wonder if those "cool" guys will buy the new ones. :giggle:

Anyways, beautiful design. For some reason, the Camaro was the only sports car I really liked. Never like the others. :dunno:
 
I loved those two cars--the Camero and the Challenger. You see, we designers discussed the problem with the Charger that Dodge brought out with FOUR doors! Many of us balked at the four doors. Dodge gasped so they went to work on the Challenger quickly. I remembered I complained about the Charger and I told someone from there to correct it. Instead of dropping the Charger, the Challenger came out to please us designers from all makes. GM heard us too 2 years ago so they came out with Camero. They kind of knew that longer because they thought Dodge will come out with real retro Charger.

I saw those two concept vehicles--the Challenger and the Camero in person during Design Forum at Cobo last year. They told me right there they are coming out for 2008 or 09 (at the time they were not sure what model year yet).

Hey, I remember I had a muscle car. My first muscle car was a Coronet. 450 Cubic Inches.. I raced on the street--illegally at my youth. Ha. It was fun! Wooo! I bet them all!
 
Casper, I understand about the Chargers you didnt like. That is why we designers complained at the D-C designers to fix it or come out with better one. They heeded our complains 2 years ago. Read previous statement I made here.
