YAY!! I got a magazine in my mailbox. Guess what?

Press just released Obama's selection on his soon-to-be Cabinet. (Six black men, Two white woman, One Hispanic woman) Deval Patrick, Governor of Massachusetts will be one of two Attorney Generals. Janet Napolitano, Governor of Arizona will be Secrety of Homeland Security. (Three white women for Supreme Court)

So, is the McCain's selection on his soon-to-be Cabinet! (Two black men, one whtite woman) Senator Joe Lieberman will be Secretary of State. Senator Lindsey Graham will be Secretary of Defense. Former Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney will be Secretary of Commerce. (One white woman for Supreme Court)

Veeery interesting, Everybody that Obama and McCain selected were law school graduates.

What is more, I mentioned the Supreme Court. I speak of, they already made their list who would be replaced Supreme Court Judge, ONLY IF whoever may resign, retire, pass away, or whatever reason happen to those judges.

it's typical of politicians to have a law degree even though they're not career lawyers

Looks like an excellent Cabinet selection for Obama.

As for McCain, the only Cabinet position I agree with is Mitt Romney for Secretary of Commerce.

Yeah, of course!!

So, your thoughts on their selections. Is Obama making good selection besides Biden? Is McCain making good selection besides Palin?

I thought the same thing about Mitt Romney after I read his bio and I can see why McCain chose Mitt Romney. Not bad!

I agree. During the election back in January, I have to admit that I was very impressed with Romney. If the election came down to Obama vs. Romney, there's a very real possibility that I would end up voting Republican for the very first time in my life.

no comment.

I don't know how official that list is but I know that Graham's been kissing up for some kind of position for a long time. He's a liberal in most areas but strong on defense, and a military veteran.

Oh, I agree with you, it is not officially selected. We will know once elected after Nov 4th. They will start working on their "official" Cabinet/Administration and start getting trained (their orientation). Then they will meet the Transition Team to help new people getting prepared.

It's interesting to see how and who they selected. I'd be much comfortable with Obama. He has a good choice on Director of the FBI and Homeland Security.

I have seen Graham, my feelings are same as Palin taking the presideny with those people on McCain's Cabinet.

Other than being liberal and smarmy, I believe Graham could be a good SECDEF.

Reba,

SECDEF = Secretary of Defense? Just want to make sure I'm understanding you. :)

Sorry, my military habit to use the acronyms. Yes, you are correct. :)

Yeah Mitt would have been better. I know 'cause his father, George W. Romney, ex-Governor of Michigan and HUD secretary during the Nixon Administration, was a big influence on Mitt. George Romney even ran for the Republican Presidential nomination in 1968 losing to Nixon. Before entering politics, George Romney was president of American Motors (AMC) that brought us the little Rambler car.

George Romney taught Mitt a lot about business and I have seen how successful Mitt was with his own business dealings compared to GW Bush.

Only problem I have with Mitt is that he is TOO conservative. His father was a moderate when he was in politics.

Do you think Mitt Romney is more conservative than GW Bush? (My guess is "yes.")

Sablescort has a quote in his signature, "Obama: FDR for the 21st Century...Bring on the New Deal II! "

I love this quote!! That's what everybody in my crowd saying about New Deal II. That's so strange. We think alike! I am so ready for new changes. I am so tired of Bush, McCain, 8 years, war, etc. It's time to shift the focus back to the country and the domestic issues.

TWO KUDOS for Sablescort.

I also love sablescort's signature.

Our country is *long* overdue for change and Obama represents that change.

If G*d forbid McCain were to win the election, I don't think our country could survive another 4 years of Bush policies.

America needs change and we need it NOW.
