Book Club - Recommendations & Favourites

Hey y'all thought this could be a good place for book lovers to recommend any recently read books/authors....

For starters my favourite author will always be Christopher Pike.
Yes he is mostly known for his young adult stuff but has written a couple adult books which I wholeheartedly recommend:

• Season of Passage (a scifi/horror)
• Sati (a spiritual/feel good book)
• Falling (my favourite - very Silence of the Lambs)

Christopher Pike has been a favourite of mine for 15 years now...

Charlaine Harris is a close second to be a favourite.
She's written a few series. I've read:

• The Harper Connolly Series
• Sookie Stackhouse Series / Southern Vampire Series (TV show True Blood is based on these novels)

I like Charlaine because, although the above series have a supernatural element, her main focus is mystery... She essentially writes a mystery/whodunit novel with a supernatural flair.

I've recently come across a new author and I'd say she's a tied 2nd place as a favourite, Rachel Vincent.
She writes urban fantasy and has 3 series out so far:

• Soul Screamers (YA)
• Shifter Series (adult)
• Unbound Series (adult)

So far she is effing awesome... Best thing is I'm a fan on her page on Facebook... If you write a comment - she will reply, within a couple days too!! She's awesome and I think it's fantastic she talks to her fans.

Other authers I like are: Jeff Lindsay (wrote the Dexter series - books are so much funnier and darker than the show) and Dan Brown...

I like others but the top 3 I mentioned, well they make my world go around
