Boeing plans to leave Wichita by 2013

The outsourcing trend of the late 90s/early 2000s was blamed on an "unfavorable business climate" in the US and all sorts of other baloney. The truth was, and continues to be, that well-managed companies with a good product do just fine in America, and they always have. Many of the companies that began outsourcing were always profitable. The workers were making a comfortable living, and the products and services were affordable to the average American. The people at the top of those companies--the CEOs and board members--just decided this wasn't enough and that profits had to be increased exponentially, regardless of the effects on the workers and, ultimately, the American economy.

THAT is capitalism. It follows no ethical code and pledges allegiance to no government or country. Money money money. It is evil.

Ditto. Big time.

Just waiting for a conservative to pop in and blame outsourcing on unfair corporate tax rates and evil unions.

Nope! Big corporations have enjoyed huge tax breaks for far too long. I'm not saying that there are never good reasons for tax breaks or incentives but one must be careful of how much and for how long!
