Blu-Ray Owners

You see, most Blu-Ray titles (or all) don't use CC. They use SDH (Subtitled for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing).

oh? well.. I have experience between subtitle and CC on standard DVD. subtitle don't tell the effect sound, forgien language what it use, etc. CC does. :(

That's what SDH is for... it includes all the descriptions.

you know whats weird? I dont seem to find any TV season sets based on BD but can see some like Smallville and The sporanos season sets based on HD-DVD.

The Sopranos is on BD, I saw a bunch of them at some stores the other day. Good question about Smallville, it's not on BD yet. Some on HD-DVD aren't on the BD yet but will be. They're just waiting till the java programming matures on BD but probably will be released this year.

Will they stop production of regular DVD's and players and only use HD and BD ?

Lol, doesn't look good for HD DVD if Star Wars is on BD. Nerdgasms would happen everywhere.
I also think the BD format is perfect for tv shows, so more episodes can fit on a disc, so we can see entire seasons on one or two BD discs.
With Star Wars, Disney, and PS3, how can BD lose?
I still like my HD DVD player, and will gladly keep it as a relic.

I went to store, Circuit City. I see more BD than HD-DVD movies.

Some movies are not available for BD like Universal studios goes for HD-DVD.

I still collect both. If Universal Studios decide to go back to BD.

I think Warner made really good choice to make two layers for BD and HD-DVD.

It is too soon and will see about that. Some people like HD-DVD better than BD. For me, it does not matter. Both looks great.

I already have dvd movies, if you want it to make looks great like BD or HD-DVD. Go look for dvd player with hdmi input and it will progessive to 1080i.
DVD player with hdmi does looks good than dvd player with component.

Don't waste money to buy movies that you already have. If new movies release and buy BD or HD-DVD that you have either hd-dvd or blu-ray player. If you dont have BD or HD-DVD players. It is okay to buy DVD that you have dvd player.

Casino Royale on BD. Ding. Winnar! No really, I think BD won a long time ago.

They are already outpacing the HD-DVD in software sales. On December 24, the BD format outpaced the HD-DVD format for the first time ever and by 20%.

It's increasing at a rapid rate every week.

I've noticed New Line Cinema is supporting HD-DVD too and some movies like Lord of The Rings trilogy will be ported on HD-DVD.

Hope to see some movies like,

Forrest Gump, Friday, Gothika, Twister, Spawn, A Scanner Darkly and so on HD-DVD

since Paramount pictures, New Line Cinema, and Warner Bros. support HD-DVD as well.

tonight I just bought the movie "The Rundown" on HD-DVD...one of my favorites.

I would like to know where you got that from and what perfectage did HD-DVD get as well.

Actually, THD. (Total High Definition - BD/HD-DVD Hybrid).

Percentage? BD outsold HD-DVD by more than 20% in software sale in the first week it outpaced the HD-DVD format, that's the percentage.

The research study was conducted by *ahem* Fox. Yeah, I know they are exclusive Blu-Ray supporters. However, every time I go to any local store that carries both formats... it's usually the Blu-Ray that is all messed up from people going through them while the HD-DVD stacks are still neat and untouched. Not only to menton that several titles are hard to get like 'Crank', 'The Descent' and more because people are buying them. It don't look like Fox was too far off with their claims from what I can see.

Just an observation I made over the last few weeks around here. Not only to mention that 175,000 HD-DVD players including Microsoft's HD-DVD drive were sold back in December while a million PS3 were sold at end of December.
