I have Profound hearing loss in my left ear and no hearing in my right ear.
My wife's insurance approves of a hearing aid up to $2,600 (we co-pay $300).
What can I get for $2,600?
I was considering the Phonak Naida 1x SP hearing aid

(If this is in the wrong place, please move it.)

I have Naidas IX UP and love them. That's not to say they're the best aid out there, though.

More important than the aid is to find a good/great audiologist who will work with you. S/he will then recommend what aids s/he's familiar with and has the necessary software for.

Or you can research the HAs online and then shop for audis that have experience fitting your choices. This is what I ended up doing for my Naidas - switched audis because my audi was not "up to date" on Phonak HAs even though she sold them. I found a great audi who worked with me, listened to me, etc.

Also, I highly recommend REM (real ear measurement) when shopping for an audi (ask them if they do REM). Using REM, my audi was able to adjust the bass on my HAs which eliminated some problems I was having.

Good luck with your quest for HAs.

Wish my insurance would pay for HAs. :(

If there have use Medicaid insurance. Some of hearing Aids official approve. :)

Oregon paid for a hearing aid when I was living in Oregon. Only do it once every 5 years. Washington, where I've lived for past 13 years, don't have that program.

Not true... my hearing aid specialist can get them:
Puget Sound Hearing

"Welcome to Super Media Reverse Proxy" is your link. But great if he can get it.

They are for the European market. If you can get it and you can use it great.

I have Naida III UP and I like it. :)
