Best Anti-Virus software?

Try moving back the clock on your computer before updating your Norton anti-virus software. For instance, if your subscription was for October 2008 to October 2009, then move the clock back to any day during that time period.

I don't know if it will work for the current version, but I do know it worked for the previous versions. :)

It is not working because Norton 360 bring up a dialog require me to valid my subscription. That happened to me few times in few days before Norton 360 expired.
I found free Symantec AV program proved by my college and decided to use it rather than trying to find trushworthy free AV program. It is old 2006 version but it is still updated to current version. No individual scanning available to scan the files. I had to manually config my Firefox to scan the downloads.
It is difficult for me to decide which AV program is better depends on pros and cons. I prefer AV program that let me save more memory and no inferences while I am gaming.
Be cautious about secuirty programs. Some are bad or crap. Others are worst as malware or internet fraud (known as scareware). Read the reviews or articles on secuirty programs to learn more about them.

I am agreed with you.

I use ClamXav on mac. I wouldn't say if it is a best or not, because rarely get a virus on mac.

I use avira home edition. It's good enough if you take care about which sites you visit .

I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials for a month now, it does pretty good.

Now, I am giving Antivir another try to see how it does.

I have Microsoft Security Essentials in my P3 netbook. It s pretty good. I had remove McAfee program.

I am not impressed with Avira AntiVir, it is somewhat like AVG!

I am back with Microsoft Security Essentials as Chevy57 and others have said they are very good. :)

I will try Microsoft Security Essentials when I get Windows 7 Pro. For unknown reason, it won't installed in my Vista Ultimate computer. Perhaps it's full of software errors and registry is too damaged to repair with no original backup. Others than that errors, Vista is just run fine for now.

For my Mac... none

As for dual boot for win7 program, I use Microsoft Essentials.
