Beer and Cheese Soup

3 Cups beer (2 cans)
1 T. chicken bouillon granules
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup thin-sliced celery, a few tops included
2/3 cup thinly sliced onion rings
3 cups milk
1/3 cup flour
3 cups shredded Jarlsberg cheese (a swiss type from Norway - if not available, use regular swiss (Emmenthaler)

In large saucepan combine beer and chicken granules. Heat til chickengranules are dissloved. Saute vegatables in a little butter in frying pan - just til onion becomes translucent. Add to beer mixture. Cover and simmer over low heat about 10 minutes or til veg are tenger. Blend milk and flour til smooth. Bleen into soup. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Add pepper to taste. Serve immediately. Can be cooled and reheated carefully.

I never heard about beer and cheese soup ! but i heard about "cheese soup" but i never make those but someday i will make a " beer and cheese soup" but first, i want to make "cheese soup" then next is "beer and cheese soup".
it sound to good to me this recipe. Have a fun cooking !
 
Once, Malfy tried beer-beaded chicken... one of those fried with bread crumbs types... like onion rings or something.. she reported the chicken with beer to be tasty afterwards.
