I asked my dad, "how do relationships work?"
He said that it's a give and take where both people are equal in serving the other person's needs. When there's children involved, it's similar but a different story.
I asked, how?
He said, well, when the man disciplines her child or when she disciplines his child, the other parent will tell the other person that it's not right and they will protect their own child and discipline them because they are their parent.
I said, oh ok...
He said, Let's say a woman has 8 children and her husband has 10 children. They're both gonna have to compromise and find a balance to take care of the family without fighting all the time. Cause you know, children are very perceptive and they will find ways to turn the parents against each other and everything will fall apart from there. So it's important that they work together.
I said, hmm, well......maybe he should give her a child.
He cracked up so hard.
