Does Anyone else have a Bone Assisted Hearing Aid? I know there's a couple in my area, my hearing specialist told me, but just curious what people think about the BAHA, its different then CI, my ASL professor thought the two were the same, I explained it was different. ...just curious!:hmm:

I don't, although I was a candidate for it when I was younger so I've done quiet a bit of research on them over the last 15 years or so.

I do know a number of people with SSD and conductive HL who do have BAHAs and find them very helpful.

(BTW... BAHA is actually and acronym for Bone Anchored Hearing Aid)

i have profound mixed unilateral deafness. my doctor recommended this for me too but she said i have to wait until next year to get one coz there's a new advancement in BAHAs that won't require to have a titanium screw on the head. so we're waiting for that.
