DARS asked me yesterday if I wanted the Nadia 3 or the Nadia 9 becuase the HA specialist seemed to think there wasn't much difference except for the price. They told me there wasn't much difference between 9 channels and 20 channels but the echo thing might be good.

I am getting the Nadia 9s because I told DARS they will work better since I called phonak and was told the difference between the nadia 3 and the nadia 9 is the Nadia 9 has 20 channels, echo supression and ability to send cell phone signal to both hearing aid at once, I told them to get the Nadia 9.

Does the HA dispenser seem to know what they are talking about? Is there much difference between 9 and 20 channels? In my opinion the 20 channels are a trip because we don't get to hear all those sounds so distinctively as long as the ha has enough power to let you hear each channel to its fullest potential. Kind of makes me want to find another ha specialist to work with when I get my nadia 9s soon.

do you think there is much difference between 9 or 20 channels on the hearing aid?

I haven't tried any hearing aids in a very long time. However, your HA guy said the same thing as my ex's HA guy said.

Probably will get better results in the HA / CI forum here on the site.

Never hurts to get a second opinion.

I would imagine it depends on one's loss so hopefully someone who knows the difference will come forth here and give you their perspective but I wouldn't hold my breath.

i gotch ya thanks man! I jump back and forth between hearing and not hearing like day and night. I forget not everyone wears hearing aids
