Hello all! 
I'm Missy, I live in KS with my goofy husband and our 4 furry 'kids' (2 rats, 2 cats) I am an aspiring interpreter (hoping to start the ITP next fall at Johnson County Community College)
I've always been facinated by ASL. I love the fact that, unlike any other language, it is so all-encompassing. It's not just spoken with the hands, but the whole body. I only hope I can do the language some justice once I learn.
I think I am drawn to interpreting by the possibiliy of meeting so many new people, going new places, and learning new things.
I am nervous about being a hearing person in the Deaf world, I feel like an intruder. Hoping that once my signing skills improve and I get to make new friends, that feeling will subside a little.
