Could you guys give me a list of ideas with the slang signs? That will be definitely helpful! or any sources I could seek into?
Those I have came up with so far:
"Sick"-pet peeve
"Oh shit" (by the nose area)
"out of it"
"Laid back"
"screw"
"Bai"- badass
"No sweat"- (sign for no problem)
"Ticked off"- (sign for dislike)
"off the record" (sign business between two people as none of your business)
"Catch 22" (sign for stuck)
"Pow"
"Homies" (similiar sign as game)
"What's matter with you"
"We fuck" (middle finger to both hands as in enemy)
"Stir up" (sign for smoke as goes in the air)
"Gullible"
"Pea Brain"
Hope that's clear enough- Please give me more more more IDEAS! I have been asking some of my deaf friends around, and many of them does not understand what the Slang means so I had to give them examples, then they're like, "Good question, I haven't thought of that". I realized the difference between hearing slangs and the ASL slangs are not quite similar as I thought it would be. For hearing terms, we would have to sign the meaning if there is no slang signs? For some asl slangs, I could not come up with the english word for it! Your thoughts?
