This CSS Style is not wat you would hack -- if you hack the CSS, it will reveal who did it, when the design of the website has been trashed. ;)
 
It has been years since I created a webpage. I have also used CSS, but unlike the code you pasted, I have never used layers in my CSS or HTML structure.

I don't know what you mean about tweaking. Did you borrowed the code from another website? If so, then you should save the html, php file so that you can play around with the CSS file and learn from it :)

This CSS is from my own forum, it is the basics of it. Tweaking means editing and fixing little things. The layers in CSS or HTML Structure is pretty new to the technology and it is the best way so far ;)

You just make film companies to lose the money, that's no fun.

If more film companies are losing the money then would be more delaying to developing the new films, even you wouldn't look for enjoy to watch new films in near future, just keep old movies at all time.

It's your choice, you get alot of choice.

The table tag was originally designed for columnar data. That web designers are using it to layout their pages truly smacks of fitting a round peg into a square hole! :)

I have worked with CSS code before, but nothing really complex. I prefer to use existing layouts and tweak a little here and there. Sorry, but I'm not much help, either!

Wrong kind of CSS, this CSS stands for Cascading Styling Sheets, it is used to help seperate content from design.

I just wanted to famailar with the CSS code here -- which is apparently for a forum that I own. Just trying to re decorate my own with this CSS but I am learning, though. (Thanks for the PM, though)
 
Well, there are some really good tutorials out there. But, this website looks very good, I may use it to learn PHP (just for fun).

Well, the most basic approach of CSS is the element, property, description and its values. CSS further allows for better editing by affecting individual elements through classes and id's though ID have special properties that classes do not, mainly in the identification one particular and specific element. The rest is just knowing what properties will work with what elements and what most browsers will support.
 
You can always experiment with it.

If the whole site is done with one font color, then changing one code to #FF0000 will turn that thing red.

What if you saw something but didn't know what it meant, then you can change it to #FF0000 then check the results. If you see that thing in red, you know what it's for. :)

Some websites overdo CSS coding. They put way too much in there. It's usually because the website uses a lot of formality and everything is done automatically from a database or computer center. One example would be the travel website, Expedia. :)

For me, I prefer to keep the coding simple.
