Any news on STEM CELLS Yet???

Deal All,

I am new, losing hearing sicne 4 yrs, 26 female, from India, frustrated with hearing aids, with sensory neural severe loss, on hansaton currently and going to move to phonak naida soon. Is there any recent improvements or anyone here got stem cells. Pls help, your reply would also help others.

yes, that's right, there are several thread. But it's still a long way. If hearing extremely important to you and you feel you can not benefit from hearing aids, you should look into cochlear implant. Another choice is accept as you are, and learn sign language.Find other deaf and hearing people in your country who know sign language and socialize/communicate that way.

Is that so? I would say 15 years or more would be realistic. Because by the time they find a 'solution', it'll need a least 2 year trials then maybe 2 or 3 years before it could be approved by respective governments and FDA etc.

Or never. Every time someone like HOH or hearing authorities want to have perfect hearing like listening which is a hogwash in stem cells. So I say it is never going to happen if it take ten to twenty-five years. HA! Dream on. :roll:
