at the dinner table: my little sister:"Yeah my science teacher is amazing, she's letting us eat halloween candy in class tomorrow. SHe's so nice, she lets us have snacks in her class."

what i heard:"Yeah....... she's so nice, she lets us have sex in her ass"

I stared @ her for a minute, asked her to repeat herself. OHHhhhhhhh... not so shocking that way.

Yeah sometimes things are ruled out by their level of implausibility.

How likely is it that a teacher will let students have sex in class? Not very likely. Therefore, probably not what was said. But one never really knows what the person said, so one just has to ask them to repeat.

I bet it was a relief to know it was snacks instead!
