Another story about a fake doctor doing silicone injections, this time the guy wasn't so lucky and died the next day.

Fake Woman Doctor Arrested After Injecting Silicone into Man's Genitals, Killing him

Soon after the case of the fake doctor Oneal Ron Morris was busted, a series of cases involving "doctors" apparently practicing illegal cosmetic plastic surgeries have come to light.

The latest is that of a woman doctor, who injected a 22-year-old man's penis with silicone during a so-called "pumping party," killing him. The police arrested her on Friday, the Daily Mail reported.

A "pumping party" is an illegal, growing underground movement, a gathering where transgender individuals inject silicone into their bodies to create curves, breasts, hips, etc. These parties are sometimes attended by non-transgender individuals too, who are looking for a low-cost solution to the desired cosmetic procedures. These procedures are performed by non-professionals in unsanitary conditions (Urban Dictionary, December 12: boner barrier).

This incident took place on May 5 this year when the victim, Justin Street, visited Kasia Rivera, 34, at her home in New Jersey for a penis enhancement procedure, say the prosecutors.

The day after the pumping party, Street suffered a clot to the lungs and died. According to doctors, the death occurred due to silicone embolism, and Rivera has been charged with manslaughter.

Rivera has also been charged with illegal practice of medicine and was arrested on Friday. She is being held on a $75,000 bail.

Using silicone injections to enlarge body parts has become common practice of late. Since the procedure is expensive, a lot of people go for cheaper options and, consequently, fall into the trap of unlicensed practitioners.

While side effects of silicone are rare, if it happens to leak into the blood stream, it can cause fatal clots in the heart, brain or lungs. It can also migrate through tissues, causing disfiguring lumps, says the report.

A fake surgeon was arrested for carrying out a DIY surgery on at least five people in Florida, last month. Oneal Ron Morris, 30, allegedly injected her patients with deadly toxins including cement, mineral oil and tyre sealants, before sealing the wounds with superglue.

Last week, Lauretta Cheek, 42, was arrested for allegedly injecting "dangerous" solutions into the buttocks of an exotic dancer from Charlotte, who wanted them bigger

Yowza.

Where is common sense these days? On both parties?

Everyone is out to make a buck in this economy and too many are willing to go cheap in the name of saving money.

somethings you should try to save money on... like using coupons for groceries or free oil check on your car.

medical care isn't one of those! especially surgical/invasive/injection procedures!!

maybe if enough of these stories pop up, people will open their eyes and realize the dangers!

Will my face melt when I am in hot tub, steam room, or sauna?

There is a price to excessive vanity.

My older sister found that out the hard way! She had some work done on her face in Mexico and she was not happy with the result! She had a face lift and her lips made to look fuller. Her lips where deformed looking and when they finally when down her skin had wrinkles that where not there before! My sister went to a doctor in USA and he could not help her. Her face finally healed and looks better that if you don't look at it too closely . My sister is very vain.

i found a picture of this "doctor"...

In all honesty, I think I will just skip plastic surgery all together. That way, the only way my face can get botched up is by accident.

There is a lot to be said for aging gracefully. Fighting against it only makes it worse.
