Hey!
I was born deaf and implanted when I was about 10 years old. I went through 10 years of speech therapy and was in mainstream school up until middle school. I only knew the basics of sign at the time. The summer before high school I went to a deaf camp and just couldn't go back to mainstream. I jumped around 3 different deaf schools and I'm not going to college. Oh and I'm eighteen years young.
I'm about to do something very different. I'm going on the road with a backpack and plan to use my thumb to get around. A deaf hitch hiker. I can still hear a bit and plan to get myself a dog to train to be my service dog which would help me out a lot. I just want to travel the country a bit, see and experience some things while I can!
