Accent marks?

If you are fingerspelling a name or place with an accent mark, such as Denée or Bogotá, do you omit the accent, or is there a way to indicate one?

i use bsl same princple i think i sign it over the letter or spell it indicating it has accent or no do it if it something that would been read.seldem need it my bsl is good for life i have within that circle others bsl far better than me

Ok, so you would just draw a line over the vowel, then?

There's no need to add the marks unless you're spelling something specifically for the reason of learning or teaching how the names are spelt, like in a foreign language class. At least in America, using ASL. I don't type Bogota with an accent either.
