Hey, I'm not really new here and I introduced myself a while back but I would like to know more about you.

Here's some info about me:

25 yrs old, living in Washington DC (will be moving to VA soon - I can't stand DC), happily dating a guy for almost 7 months now. Working as HR Specialist at a federal agency. It's okay but at least its work. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE to read books and watch movies. I'm a really movie freak lol. I'm definitely looking forward to Underworld: Evolution coming out. I'm also into paranormal things, such as vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, etc. I like to watch or read anything with those in it.

I was born deaf from a hearing family. My 'rents divorced when I was 4 yrs old and I haven't seen my dad since I was 14 but that's okay because my mom has been with a guy for almost 20 years and he's like a dad to me. Speak of the devil, today is my mom's 50th b-day. I sent her a really nice big bouquet of flowers with a bunch of balloons to her work today. I'm sure she'll be surprised. I'm the only deaf person in my family, I can speak and lipread very well but I prefer to use ASL with my friends. I grew up in a really small town so that's why I can't stand DC haha. I graduated from RIT in May 2004. I do miss college, especially my sorority sisters and friends :(

Okay.. Allow introduce you 'bout me,

I born raised in Toronto, Ontario and Living Adopt family really horrible. When I was teenagers about I say 17 yrs old and left from Adopt family then tag along I went heavy travelled across canada and eastern few states includes south too. I made my decision first time living in Vanacover, British Columbia for few months and came back home where it was belong to Toronto,Ontario again few months then decide find settle living in Edmonton, Alberta.Canada and happy living in YWCA.. I got a call my adopt sister and begged me back Toronto due her wedding! In my thoughts, Okay sure why not.. I came back Toronto.. Finished the wedding.. I had been different places to live and to find goal stable settle living but didn't... Until I found a guy and got accident 1st pregnant and decide to stay living stable in Scarborough, Ontario but turn it out uglier... Due Abused... I have made my decison huge move to far away from Toronto... due reason my 1st son.. Settled living in London,Ontairo and met mr right guy and fallin love... Got new daughter then last son.. We married on July 7 2001.

Right now, We are living in St Thomas, Ontario where it's smallest town because of my husband's working there... called "Formet ltd under Magna Company". We are still ongoing seeking buy a country house or house.. wha..ever

My hubby and I are really want to watch X-MEN PART 3 incoming this month... We are exicting to go but unless if there RWC provide... So then we are going there!!!! :D
 
Age: 38, born deaf...my parents are still married for 40 years now. I grew up in Alabama...at age 19, my family and I moved to Illinois..then I went to college in Minnesota then transferred to another college in Illinois then moved to St. Louis, MO to be with my family...then they moved here in Oklahoma...then I moved here in 1996. I hate Oklahoma - especially with deaf community because of my ex hubby. I was married to deaf man in 1999 and I divorced him in 2002...

My sister/family and brother/family both lives in TX...so when my dad retires in few years...my parents will be moving to TX and I will be going there too...:D I live alone with my wonderful black male cocker spaniel dog...he is my precious baby...

Oh London is a nice place. I've been there before, visiting a couple friends. Well actually they live close to Hamiliton. That's great about you having a good life right now.

Oh yes I definitely wanna see X Men 3 too. I loved the 1st and 2nd one! Have a nice day ;-)

I've been doing a lot of research into the ADA and Deafness aspect of HRD. :)
 
I'm 25 and born deaf too.. stay home mom as i dont work as i have a health problem i have to deal with..... I have 4 year old son and My mom was 50 last nov.. u and i are almost the same.. are u my TWIN sister? LOL!!!!!!! kidding :-D will try to get part time job real soon dunno when cuz i have alot of things i have to deal wtih........ too much dramas! :( oh well..
 
i am 34 i was born deaf and i was born in ILL near chicago but living in michigan for 22 years now and it is beginning to suck on me
plan to move out to ohio soon i am planning to start training to be travel agent but i have not start yet but will soon smile i love to travel have been traveling since i was little girl and i love to READ TOO hehe i am avid reader and my hobby is cross stitches smile

that's neat. I would be nutty if live in DC lol. I raised in country too. I'm 28 yr old. I have 2 kids, (son 3 yrs and half) and (daughter 3 mos old). Also have stepdaughter (4 and half yr old). I have a loyalful boyfriend for almost 3 years. I live in Illinois and in small town. I'm housegirlfriend and home job partially. I love to watch movies, hiking, camping, atvs, do exlpore new attractions, and spends family. By the way, surely nice to meet you, SilverPanda!

I am in my 30's. I was born deaf due to hereditary, born to hearing parents, enrolled in DePaul School in Pittsburgh, PA from age 2 to 7 years old, and then my parents divorced, and my mom remarried to another guy which I called him Dad, went to public school in Morgantown, WV from 2nd grade and graduated from high school with honors. I was mainstream, and never had interpreter or notetakers in class or anything. e I was involved in sports like softball, volleyball, track and basketball. I can speak (oral), lipread and wears hearing aids, and I just learned sign languages when I was 11th grade and I am still rusty but I am learning...
I am working for the government, I am Program Assistant II (GS 13) for 5 years and love it. All my co-workers labeled me as hearing impaired, which that is fine with me. I am happily married to hearing guy for 4 years and we have a ordinary little hearing boy and we have 2 dogs.

I guess you learned more about me. Hello you all.. :wave:
 
AGE: 34 BORN: Kerry, Ireland. born deaf. Married with 3 lovely girls. They are all deaf including my hubby. No work, staying at home with the children. My hobbies is walking, computers, going for meal, cinema, Party too!! That just about it i suppose!!! :lol:

Yes, I live in Oklahoma...since 1996...It's quite around here and not much actitivties around here...it's not too bad living here...I prefer to move out of this state! :lol: (I would not recommend for any deafies to live here..you will be miserable living here around in deaf community) ;)

HR Field stands for Human Resources. That's the field where we're responsible for the hiring to the firing part of employment.
 
hello, I am 34 years old. I born in deaf. I born in Wyoming. Boring state. My dad and mom got divorced when I was 8 years old. My mom is remarried. My stepdad is best dad in the world. My stepdad and mom took me that we moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. I went to hearing school in my all life. My parent didnt allow me to go deaf school because they think too low education. I married to a deaf man and ended up divorce. I m married to a wonderful hearing man. I still fall in love with him. We are together for 12 years. We didnt like Utah so we moved to Colorado. We love live in Colorado. My husband and I have a son. My husband has 3 teenage from his old marriage. My mom and stepdad live in Calforina now. My dad still live in wyoming that he born there and live there forever! I tried tell him that he need get out from Wyoming. He said No.

My husband grew up in San Diego, CA. He born in Texas. My husband and I dont know if we would settle in colorado but we really love San Diego. San Diego are so expensive. Someday we might move there but who know?
 
Hello, myself deaf and have Cerebral Palsy since birth. My age is 31. Born in Labraodor City, Newfoundland, raised in Labrador City and St. John's due to deaf school. Graudated in June 1994 from Newfoundland School for the Deaf in St. Johm's. Newfoundland, Canada. I went to St. Paul Techincal College for 2 years but not graduate yet, long story. I am living in St. John's for now. Hopefully move to Toronto area in Ontario sometimes next year or 2 years later.

Of course I am single, still looking for a job but no luck lately. Love to watch movies, attending hockey games in St. John's (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League). I am Toronto Maple Leafs fan. of course you see my signature. :D

19, hearing, male, straight (most hearing people think I'm gay or a girl because of my personality and friends), trilingual (fluent in English, Spanish, ASL -- learned them in that order)

I had a deaf friend in my high school years. Now I'm engaged to a deaf gal.

I'm just viewed as weird by the hearing world, but my friends (who are mostly deaf women ;) ) understand me.

I am in college with my fiancee for computer hardware (yes, she's in the same program). Her name here is deaflinuxgeek.

My user name comes from the fact that I use Linux instead of Windows. Yeah, Micro$oft-Free and quite proud of it!
