    Oticon opn 3

One thing I noticed is when I'm listening to music I recognize the tune, but the words are gibberish until my brain readjusts. I've had them in for 13 hours and really don't notice I'm wearing them. A+ so far!

    Oticon opn 3

Anyone wear these or have any reviews on them? I saw the audi yesterday and ended up ordering a pair. I've had Phonaks for a little over 3 years. I was really impressed when they were in my ears. Picking them up Monday. I'm just curious about going from these BTE with molds to one with a...

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

Did you get that as a separate program? Right now, I don't have any programs put in ... just getting used to them before I use any of the options. Thanks for being so helpful. :) Yesterday was pretty good. I had to have some "bell" noises explained to me in a retail setting. Heh. I was...

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

Thanks for the tip! I left the ComPilot at home yesterday and hate to say ... fared much better. I've just never had anything like that. I used my cell on speaker and it worked fine. Spent so much time messing with the controls (like a new toy) that nothing was doing what it should.

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

Goodness. What a day. My left ear is SORE. I think the earmold on that ear was a little crooked, so I've tried to straighten it out a little. Also, it seems like the sound isn't getting through the left ear as well as the right. Half of what I'm hearing is jibberish I'm guessing due to my...

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

I got them yesterday. I'm adjusting. Oh boy. I kinda' like the ComPilot, but I had it under my shirt most of the time. Which, of course, renders it useless for phone calls. Most people text me anyway, so no big deal. Feels like my left ear is "stuffy" so we may have to work on that a little...

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

So, I went to the audiologist this morning. Actually, I was kinda' surprised at the results. I'm *almost* to the the severe hearing loss cutoff, but it's still moderate. Honestly, thought I had degraded more than that. I was right on the line with the sound adjustments, 80 db was comfortable for...

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

I'm not going to Costco. Honestly, I'm not sure where I'm going. We got this deal with our insurance for a TruHearing membership to complement what coverage we have. I know they've got about 5 audiologists in our area, but it doesn't show who they actually are. I have to call this week and set...

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

Does the tinnuitis masker work? Insurance and all, I have 5 brands to work with: Phonak, Rexton, ReSound, Unitron, and Starkey. Obviously, a lot of people have good experience with Phonak and Unitron. It never occurred to me I could try different brands. Cool. Since I've got a Starkey that...

    Hello!

That's a cool video, but I've been lip reading all my life. I love in Southern Indiana.

What's a good HA for severe loss nowadays?

I'll be starting the process of new HAs in the next couple of weeks or so, and I am SO out of the loop on what's good for severe to profound hearing loss. I've had a Starkey CC for the last 13 years (and 2 months to be precise). Time to move on ... I am going to take a plunge I've never wanted...

    Hello!

 Just found your forum when I was doing some HA research. Little about me: I was born with a hearing loss but it's gotten progressively worse over the course of my life. I got my first set of BTEs when I was 17. I am pretty sure I qualify in the severe - profound area. Without HAs I...
