I have a "deaf accent" too,even after losing bearing after learning speech. im told i mumble and i dont react to noise and speak at the same level all the time. this is even with cis and previous hearing aids. it just happens, we are all different.

ive always been hoh, hearing aids worked until a few years back. i do sign (not fluent but want to work on that). i have 2 ci's. one is 4 yrs old, one is 3 yrs old. i guess instead of late deaf i should say post lingual deaf. ci's are ok but not perfect and i hate "hearing impaired". we arent...
