    I agree with you, it's so beautiful outdoors, beach, mountain, high desert, and all different places to see... The mostly expensive is if you live in big city in California. I live in a small town on high desert and the living expenses are very reasonable here. :-)

    Definitely a long drive, it takes 18 hours drive -- I live in Southern California, Ridgecrest -- that's the valley nearby Mountain, on high desert, 2 1/2 hours drive north from Los Angeles.
