    what kind of business?

That's weird...I've been to zillions of restaurants and nobody ever made me sign a paper for taking leftovers home. What kind of restaurant was it, and where was it?

    what kind of business?

A word of warning....there's a reason why buying a franchise business is called "buying yourself a job". With a franchise business, you usually don't have a lot of freedom -- the company tells you what to do, et cetera, and in many cases, you have to pay royalty fees to the company. And I've...

    what kind of business?

Cool thread! My hubby and I already run a compuer consulting company, and we're doing pretty well. But cuz I've been in computers for almost 20 years, I want to try something different. One of these days, I'd like to run a mail order catalog company. Another possibility might be to buy out a...

    Any Deaf bartenders out there???

I've always wanted to go to bartending college, just for the heck of it. But I wouldn't have much of a career, since I can't read lips to save my life. :-)Besides, most bars are a little too smoky and dim for my taste.

curious....does bloody mary exist and do u believe in it?

If you drink too many of these Bloody Mary drinks, you'd end up believing in Bloody Mary -- the morning after.

    Do NOT ask me anything!

Yep, and I like other types of sushi, too. But be warned...I'm one of these adventurous types who like to order "chef's surprise" sashimi specials -- you know, these plates where you look at a piece of fish/veggie/whatever and ask, "What the heck is this???" None of these boring sashmi plates...

Remember the day you got your first Closed Captioning Decoder?

I was in high school when I got my first decoder in 1981 -- Dad ordered it through a Sears catalog. I still remember the first captioned show I ever saw -- it was one of the episodes of King Arthur on PBS (maybe part of Masterpiece Theatre?). There were very few captioned shows back then --...

    Hi I'm from Houston

Hi there! Sorry, I don't know of any deaf electricians in Houston, but I thought I'd say hi, since I'm planning to move to Houston in a month or 2. (I'm looking at Inner Loop...know of any nice houses for sale there? ;-) )

Hiya from Colorado (moving to Houston, TX)

Thanks -- that's partly why my hubby and I picked HOuston -- fairly close to the beaches and cheap real estate -- lots cheaper than California for sure. :-)

Wow...it seems like I turned around for a minute, and all of a sudden, there's, like, a zillion replies. Thanks!

Just kidding....really. ;-) After seeing all these "ask XXX anyting" threads, I just *have* to start this thread.... :-)

    Does anyone has a hobbies?

Hiya....well, let's see.... there are many things I like to do. I like to do geeky things like work on jigsaw puzzles and collect old postcards. There's something zen-like about doing jigsaw puzzles -- they help calm me down after a stressful day. I also create bead jewelry, but I haven't had...

Hiya from Colorado (moving to Houston, TX)

HIya, folks, this is SabaSushi from Westminster, CO. I found this forum by accident, and it looks cool. My hubby, the 3 fuzzy kids (okay, so they're just cats, but...) and I will be moving to Houston sometime this winter or early spring -- it depends on whenever we sell our house. So, is...

    Our Deaf Team are Growing!!

Hiya....out of curiosity, exactly what does Four Point Moms do? I've seen the website -- it goes on and on quite a bit about benefits of working at home, but it doesn't say what you'll be actually doing (or selling).
