I finally got my right ear with the CI on Dec 29. Will get my stitches removed on Friday. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for the rest of the CI parts.

I'm scheduled to get my right ear to have the CI implant on October 6. I picked October 6 due to I need to finish up some work first.

I think I'm on a #4 magnet, my audiologist started with #3 and it barely stayed on so she swamped the magnets out on the first day. She did tell me to keep an eye on the skin to make sure it's okay. So far everything is fine.

I 'hear' sound also from my left ear, got implanted Feb 10, 2015. What I hear now is sound like a hush static noise. When I woke up from surgery, the sound was 'loud' and had a whine sound. But, it quieted down pretty quickly.

I know that I cannot go back to hearing aids after the CI has been implanted. I know quite a bit about CI, just don't know about how it will help me going from hearing aids to CI and how the hearing will be effected.
