im thnking of getting a siamese , gonna see a pedigree tomorrow

what do you think of them?

I LOVE Siamese cats! I've had several Siamese and Oriental cats, and they are the best. :)

My friend have 3 Blue point Siamese cats...they are cute! I haven't met the 2 yet...she just got them few months ago but I never got a chance to stop by. They are beautiful!! Good luck finding one! :thumb:

Yes I love siamese cat! They re awesome! but I have pure white persian cat and 15 years old! :D

I have had Siamese cats for nearly 40 years. I think they are the most faithful and most trainable of cats.

what did you train him/her to do? poop in the toilet?

Nice photo of a Himalayan, like Byrdie's cat. Yep, if my cat can't get out, he uses the commode. He also comes to push me with his paw if he hears someone at the door who doesn't see my strobe flash button.

That isn't a Siamese. Siamese have short hair.

It looks like a Himalayan but can't really tell if it's face, especially the nose part, is pushed in or not.

If it is "pushed in", then it's a Persian. Himalayans have their noses sticking out not "pushed in".

I know it wasn't siamese but when Chase said it was easily trainable... the first thing that popped in my head was that cat pooping in the toilet. ha ha ha

I bow to the Himalayan expert. Its face looks pushed in to me. Jiro's cat using the toilet doesn't impress me, but lighting the match to burn off the smell is a winner. Wonder if he can flush, too?

he did flush afterward! :giggle:

Some people get also mixed up with Burmese for Siamese... siamese are more slender and have triangular head, but then again traditional siamese is slightly rounder so its quite easily mistaken too

I love siamese cat, I have one, I named him Loki (the god of mischeif and it suits him very well lol), but hes great and beautiful. You will enjoy your siameses. I want to get another one when i move out of my parents home (I can hear my mom saying NOOOOOO more animals!! lol)

Siamese are very talkative! You're better off getting a pair of them, so they won't wreck the house if you're out for the day.

You're deaf so they can yowl all they want. ;)

Good luck on finding the right cat for you.

oh thanks, Id try take my dig-cam with me and upload a pic for ya all
ok

I don't see any picture of Himalayan.

G,

Like Miss Delectable say the Siamese cats are very vocal.

They do bond with one person very well. As Siamese cats do have a great need for human companionship.

Oh yes..I do agreed with you. My friend have 3 blue points Siamese. They are so beautiful! At first when she bought the two home, boy! Spirit wasn't HAPPY and hiss! She won't let them on their bed...now they are best friends and so happy! Yes..they are talkative! :) Spirit is such a daddy girl! So cute when she hear my friend's motorcycle gets home, she'll go straight to the door to greet him! Smart!!!
