Don't forget 'Sweet Nothing in My Ear' starts in 30 minutes!

LOL sounds like my kind of guy to hang out with, I wouldnt mind joining him to monkey around a bit on the subway. LOL The other people probably thought he was either high on drugs or an escapee from the mental hospital, but who cares he was entertaining for the subway ride, LOL.

LOL! We've got Big Brother on, too, waiting for the movie to start! Got our plate of peanut butter cookies and orange soda, and ready to go!

Yeppers. Those boys like to control the remote! 5 more minutes!

Bye everyone! Enjoy the movie!!! :)

Thats the way dad is, he'll ask if there's anything I want to watch, then he'll switch it to that channel, then when it goes to commercial he changes it and begins to watch what he wants to after that. That's mainly why I've quit watching TV unless there is something on I really want to watch.

I'm so exciting to watchhhhh that!! :D:D:D I will drop a review after watching that tv show :):)

My review: thumb down don't like the ending, because there's no ending. Total waste of my time.
Sorry to say this because I do like Marlee a lot but not the script of the movie

I think it was smart of the writers to end the movie like that so nobody can feel that one side was chosen over the other as an ending. Clever, very clever.

I liked it because the ending showed family relationship was most important.

I agree. The best point in the movie was when the father admitted that he had been saying he wanted what was best for Adam, but that it wasn't true. He really wanted what was best for him. And then to go on and say they would make the decisions as a family, meaning son would be included.

Yea, I liked that. That was a great point cuz we are always hearing how parents say they want the best for their child and their decision is the best for their child but the truth is, do they really know? Does any of us really know what is REALLY the best for each child?

That is why it is so important to look at our motives honestly, as he did at the end, and to make decisions like this with all input considered.

All in all I liked it, but... I was disappointed in the fact that 90% of the time you could NOT see the signing. Add to the fact that the signing was "dubbed" over by voicing... why not have subtitles?

It is a step forward in the right direction, but still biased toward the hearing community.

movies of Sweet nothing in my ear.

That's movies is very good. I have ci. But I have never ci when I was kid. it about choices and not about being deaf or hearing. I believe this only by choose if I wanted it or not. Some people feel abuse because they wants deaf. Some perfer hearing. Again it is choices.

With me I use ci just to communicate with my family. But I takes it off with my deaf friends with respect.

But please respect me. I will treat u with respect also.

I have worn hearing aid my whole life. So I got my C.I. in my mid's 30's it as a big difference. I also agree it is all about making "choices" for yourself and your family. But when I take off my C.I. I am still deaf. Wearing C.I. is like wearing a hearing aid so C.I. just a bit more powerful than regular hearing aid. I can understands deaf are pro and cons over C.I. issues and hopefully they still be friends not just because a person make "choices" to C.I. to abandon friendship. :) Life is always a tough choices to make in life. :)

Exactly, but, the problem that I have with the medical perspective is that they portray the CI as "your child will become hearing". Which is totally false. They are basically saying with CI your child will have language and hear just like a normal person. Many times those who get the CI still do not have a language or minimally better. Nor will they hear normally. Yes, it may be better than a standard hearing aid, but if the simulations that can be found on the web are correct - I'd rather not hear those sounds.

Plus, most of the time, the child has no choice until later in life (to not wear it). Now that they are implanting at 9 mos. That child has no say in whether or not he/she wants it.

I like the movie. I was so glad when the father finally woke up that it was all about him. Not for Adamn nor what Adam wanted or what the family wanted? it have to be family so he dropped it. That took lot of courage of him to admit it was HIM who want the ci for Adam. Bravo!

It take 3 to be a family and all have to make decision. not one. :) That mean something.
