Any of u or know someone was Gay-bashing?

The reason I brought up about my friend's shocking news was I was wondering if the gay community will bash him for his news. That was all.

I wasn't really referring to your post, but to answer your question, I do know of some gay people who will bash on ex-gays and lesbians. Some gay and lesbian people do not even like bisexuals. But castrate him, I think thats an overstatement. Heh!

I know..I was exaggerating. Ok thanks for answering my question.:)

Just found this thread.. Here's mine.

My own brother, yupp, he was gay bashing against me. I still remember he invite his friends over to beating me up and destroy my bedroom, doing many stupid thing to me like picking something look like a penis then trying to catch my stare to it. Most of the days, my brother just kept saying "You are SO GAY!", that include my cousin too, he was mean to me, they just treat me like I am too fag for them to hang out.

Also one of my friend always call me "fag!" everytime I say what I like, like when I play the Yu-Gi-Oh cards, one boy asked me "what's your favorite type?" I said "Plants", then my friend yell at me "gay!". I became tired of him and stopped hanging out or stay in touch with him.

I still see some of deafies people that won't talk or hang out with me at all because of my sexual orientation which I don't really expose it that much, all I can do is just be myself, that's all.

^^^ Sorry to hear that. :(

I almost got attacked by some guys when I was closeted. After I came out, I haven't get physical attacked yet but only a several of verbally attacks. Nothing serious yet. I hope it will not happen to anyone or me ahead of this time. Unfortunately, these people are just bunch of dicks and need to come out that they are gays too. In my opinion, these "gay" gay bashers are disgracefully to GLBT community period.

Well it's just the past, now my brother knows I was gay and he is proud of me now, he gave me the little shot cup with Rainbow flag on it lol :)

Yeah I hope the world would just change. It's very normal that people got scare to learn something new, they have to face their own fear and they shouldn't put on someone else, ya know.. When I came out, I haven't been attacked or threaten yet, but I know there is some of guys that refuse talk to me or hang out with me at all because of my sexual orientation status.

I believe there is a LOT, probably every homosexuals or transsexuals that are victim of being threaten, violence, etc in their experience lifetime.

I agree. I believe that transsexuals got attacked more often than homosexuals because not many people accept transsexuals. I know its sad but true. :(

Oh interesting topic, I have big issue in last 2 years ago.

In last 2 years ago, I was moved to one relative's house in deep south for 2 weeks, around 2 and half hours away from Atlanta, it's really small town with urban in cluster and rural area. My mom was flavor to send me to high school because she don't trust to deaf school and LA school, I just like ugh and want check out if big difference, oh I was gulped that alot of republican, married coupled and I started feel bad and not my type. I was registered after found interpreter and started in class, I was started closet out at some students in about next few days, some guys are grossed me out and stay away from me, I just like wtf at them, world can do different thing since they don't understand, one hearing guy was wrote the paper and would want kill me when pull on truck, I feel like threated and he said because I'm gay then I was walked to dean's office and reported it then he don't care then I was talked to my relative about what happened and start worried, I was in big fought with them because relative did agree with grandma, I had teached about AIDS/HIV, I told them that AIDS and HIV for homoexual are biggest issue in 70's and 80's then told grandma to shut up and leave me alone. My relative has took on my side, she told me that deep south is different and really homogeneous of straight and conservative then I started called my mom and argued with her then she was accepted thenI left after 2 weeks and transferred to high school in LA, I feel much better, I haven't suffered from homophobia, only there's some issue on between latino and blacks.

I wasn't offensive to southern, I know that rural area, small town and even suburb of southeast are alot of anti-gay and conservative, I only like Atlanta and somewhere in Florida, such as Miami.

My several hearing gay friends got attacked in Atlanta, Georgia before. That's why they left Atlanta and moved here in Seattle, Washington. I was surprised because Atlanta is third largest gay community behind San Fransisco and Seattle. I expect Atlanta to be more gay friendly city. I guess not really.

Not everywhere is safe... Even San Francisco...

*sighs* I know it is sad to read about it. I live 1 hour from San Franisco I know so many Gay/ Lesbain there now more like very careful.. I know it is so tough!

Fresh my mind. 7 years ago, I remembers that when I and my ex walk down the street from school to our apartment. She saw the boys throw rocks at us and told me look. I turned to look at them. They were laughing and saying something, I bet it is bad.

Those rocks did not hurt us. They throw over our heads and rocks hit the road. I can image how that will happen if get more deeps.
